Mrs. Kathy Roe

Family School Liaison Counsellor
Hi my name is Kathy Roe and I am the Family School Liaison Counsellor here at Trinity Christian School. This is my seventh year with Palliser and I also work at Menno Simons Christian School and Brant Christian School. I obtained my Masters degree in Counselling from Gonzaga Univsity.
I also have a private counselling practice where I work with adults and families.
I have been married for 44 years and my husband and I have six children. I love spending time with my family, praying, cooking, reading, seeing friends and being with our Pomeranian dogs.
Welcome back to another school year! For those of you who are new to Trinity Christian School or who have not yet become familiar with the Family School Liaison Program, I’d like to introduce myself. I am Kathy Roe the Family School Liaison Counsellor and I am going to be serving this community by helping children and families cope with difficulties they may be having in their lives, either at home or at school. I provide counselling support to students, and when appropriate, I also direct families to outside services. In many cases, I provide information through consultation and may make referrals to agencies such as Mental Health, psychological services, medical clinics, and social services. In addition to counselling, I also offer classroom presentations on various topics aimed at supporting student’s mental, emotional, social and behavioral wellness so that they may achieve their optimal wellness in all of these areas.
Counselling is accessed on a referral basis. Teachers, principals, and parents may refer a child about whom they have concerns, and must give their permission for services before they commence, at which point an intake appointment will be scheduled. Referral forms may be found on the school website or at the school office. At times, a student may seek me out personally, in which case, I am able to meet with a child once before a referral by a teacher is given and an intake appointment and parental consent is provided.
Please contact me to set up an appointment.
My email is: Kathy.roe@pallisersd.ab.ca

I will be at Trinity Monday and Tuesdays ALL DAY
