Jump Rope for Heart

"The other day we "jump" started our Jump Rope for Heart program.

This program gives our elementary students (K-6) the opportunity to improve their heart health, raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and have fun! Over the next couple weeks we will be participating in jump rope activities during our Physical Education classes, where students will be setting goals and learning new jump rope tricks and exercises.

As a school we have set a goal of fundraising $3000 for the Heart and Stroke foundation. Each student in grades 1-6 has received a fundraising envelope which contains instructions, donation forms, and a list of prizes to be won. Kindergarten students will receive their envelopes early next week. The envelopes are due back to homeroom teachers on Monday May 2, 2016.

This is the second year in a row that Trinity has participated in this program and we are excited to continue to promote healthy eating, activity, and lifestyle habits in our PE program.
