TfT November Focus: Blessed are those who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness

This month’s focus:

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:6

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

“Hungry, thirsty people work hard, urgently, to gain food.
To hunger and thirst for righteousness, then,
means we should urgently pursue righteousness.”

-Daniel Doriani (Table Talk Magazine 2017)

God is after our hearts and our desires. Even though it is best for us to live rightly,
He didn't create us to be robots without choice. We need to both desire
and allow God to shape us. God promises that if we seek Him first,
He will fulfill us.
