Are You Smarter than a 1st Grader?

Before the spring break, our grade 1 class, lead by Mrs. Munton, participated in Marshmallow Math.  Don't let the name Marshmallow Math underestimate the level of math our grade 1 students were completing.  They were making different types of shapes (cubes, prisms & pyramids) using marshmallows and toothpicks.  And for each shape they were recording the number of faces, corners and edges.
