The reaction to our new ice rink has been pure excitement, joy and appreciation. Our grade 7 students were the first students to enjoy skating last Thursday. It was a little chilly but they quickly warmed up skating around. Our staff enjoyed curling during their PD Day on Friday. No curling rocks? No problem. The staff was creative and filled milk jugs with coloured water.
Thanks to all the staff who collaborated to make this idea a reality. It was a joint project driven by desire to provide our students with alternatives for daily activity.
A highlight for Mr. Heppner was making his own zamboni. All we need now is a hockey game!
