GNE Day 4

Well, today was a hot one! After breakfast the morning was spent on the water and at the beach.  Students and adults alike played on the water toys, paddle boarded to see turtles, and took turns tubing behind one of Green Bay’s boats. Meanwhile, on the beach there was reading and crib playing. It was an amazing way to start the day - playing and enjoying each other’s company in God’s creation. After lunch we headed across the bridge to downtown Kelowna and students tried to escape the locked rooms of Exit Kelowna. While there weren’t any successful teams, there were several groups who were verrrrrry close (like only needing another minute close). When we got back to camp, we were greeted with supper - baked potatoes, ribs, corn on the cob, and pie (still warm from the oven) for dessert. We haven’t mentioned it yet but the food has been incredible! The kitchen staff (and all of the Green Bay staff) have been spoiling us. We will definitely NOT be returning to Calgary hungry! Tonight, we are trying to beat the heat with yet another lake swim and then Miss Vee is leading us in devotions.

We are also hopeful that before bed each room does a bit of a “Tuck and Tidy” as tomorrow will be an early morning as we pack everything up and in the bus so that we can get on the road just after breakfast.
